By Marlene Zubber

Gathering around making Halloween jewellery is fun for the whole family in this great activity for everyone. Halloween is a great time for everyone to gather together to decorate the outside and the inside of their homes, gathering Halloween supplies to create fun and spooky costumes and shop for trick or treats that you could hand out this Halloween night.

What other activities can one look forward to on Halloween? Hay rides, bobbing for apples, fall festivals, and treks through haunted houses are just some of the things you can look for on Halloween as a family. For even more fun, though, try creating some Halloween jewelry for the perfect accessories to those spooky or entertaining Halloween costumes. Or if you wish, you can give this jewelry to your trick-or-treaters.

What types of Halloween jewelry can you make with your family? If you are a beginner to this, it is best to start simple. Start by making things with beads. Halloween anklets, bracelets, necklaces, and many other pieces of jewelry can be created if you use beads.

Oftentimes, beads are standard oval-shaped pieces of plastic that are the colors of Halloween, like orange and black. From about late September to early October, you may be able to find really fun beads that are specifically geared toward Halloween themes. Little black cats, witches, pumpkins, bats -- the list is just about endless. Find fun, truly detailed beads for some really unique and entertaining Halloween jewellery.

Simply gather up a wide assortment of beads and you can choose the design that you wish to place on the jewelry that you are making.

Halloween jewellery does not just have to be made with beads, though. You can also make small pendants to be worn on costumes, or other things. Go to the craft aisle of your favorite department store and see what you find. It is likely that you will find many items that you can use; just attach these things to a small piece of cardboard if you wish, glue a safety pin to the back, and put it on your Halloween costume!

There are other ways you can make Halloween jewellery, too. Try using Halloween coins, art, small wall hangings, small glowing pumpkins, and so on.

As you can see, if you are interested in making Halloween jewellery as a family, there are many creative ways to do so. All it takes is a little research and some creativity!
